#Can i sync my ipod with swinsian update
The main problem is that Swinsian won't update songs' playcount and 'last played' data using the info on my iPod. I have to drag files/folders onto the iPod. I'd probably go Roon if I ever went back to the OCD music life. My device does appear in Swinsian, but it won't automatically sync with the Swinsian library. I notice some oddities here and there, for example Cibo Matto have Brian Eno's artist thumbnail (go figure). The options "Keep Music Media folder organised" and "Copy files to Music Media folder when adding to library" are enabled and have been forever, and since iCloud became a thing "Sync Library" as well. My only recent imports are ad hoc and infrequent so that doesn't appear to cause catastrophe. It does not require an iTunes installation to transfer music to and from an iPhone/iPod. I had things on a Synology NAS once upon a time, those were dark days. Unfortunately, Swinsian wont 'talk' to my iPod in the same way Apple Music did. PodTrans is a trimmed down version of SynciOS.

But I've given up organising in general (same for email) since searching on macOS (or OS X really) became a reasonably reliable thing. Level 1 7 points Can I sync my iPod Classic Is it possible to continue to synch music on my iPod Classic after upgrading the software on my MacBook Pro When I connect the iPod, it shows up on the desktop but not in Music and there is no synching.

I've done a minimum of organising, mostly to consolidate a few things under main artist instead of collabs etc (Eno wins my prize for maximum iterations) or minor tidying. Update the iTunes to the latest version on your Windows or Mac computer If you still have the old version of iTunes on your computer, it's time to update it Sometimes, the updating can make iPod syncing work well.

That material and things I've added later form my library (which is exposed in Music.app via the Artists view in Library on the desktop). From the list under Settings on the left-hand side of the iTunes window, click the type of content that you want to. Find out what to do if you cant see the icon. Click the device icon in the top left-hand corner of the iTunes window. In certain cases material that isn't on the streams, so worth keeping. Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer with a USB cable. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPad/iPhone it compares the local ID with the one the device normally syncs. It isnt possible to sync an Apple device with two different libraries, however it is possible to sync with the same logical library from multiple computers. I have what you might call legacy CD rips from iTunes now in Apple Music, uploaded when iTunes Match was still a thing iirc. Sync iPod/iPhone/iPad with two computers. After you set up syncing with iTunes using USB, you can set up iTunes to sync to your device with Wi-Fi instead of USB.
